It is such a pleasure to serve you here at Florida Retina Specialists. We are a medical practice that provides world-class comprehensive medical and surgical retinal eye care. Our goal is to provide the highest quality retina care to our patients. We strive to maintain a humble servant attitude as we meet the eye needs of those in our community.
Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Our doctor is available for emergencies after hours and on weekends as well.
Kacie O'Reilly
Practice Administrator
Kacie is originally From Lebanon, Maine and relocated to Florida several years ago. Currently, she is working towards her Masters in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and received her Bachelors in Health Services Administration from University of Central Florida. She has been in the healthcare industry for 8 years and has a passion for helping others. During her free time, she enjoys cruising, outdoor activities, fishing, working out, and spending time with her significant other and family.
Pamela Copely
Billing Manager
Pamela brings over 25 years of Medical billing experience and has served our office here at FRS for over 4 years. Prior to coming here Pam lived in the Detroit area where she gained experience and education in the health care field of Medical billing. She brings passion, kindness and professionalism to our FRS TEAM. She enjoys the outdoors, the beach weather here in Florida and thoroughly enjoys the community here in Brevard County.
Kendall Petty
Medical Receptionist
Born and raised in Cocoa, Florida. She graduated from Rockledge High in 2009 and worked at Hobby Lobby for 8 years before moving into the medical field. Kendall loves helping patients, being there to help them get the assistance they need and seeing the joy and appreciation of patients when their vision is repaired. When not working, she enjoys spending time in her ministry and with any downtime she enjoys baking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Karen Perez
Medical Receptionist
Karen is originally from Guatemala and came to the U.S. as a young child. She learned her strong work ethic from her mother as they worked hard to support themselves after immigrating to the U.S. She has a very close-nit family who takes good care of eachother. Karen treats our patients like her own family, with her sweet and gentle spirit, she makes you feel at home. And she is our in-house Spanish translator! She is a wife, and a mother of two young children. She loves to help others, guide, and serve!
Samantha Hart
Ophthalmic Technician
Samantha is a lifelong resident in the small town of Titusville, Florida where most of her family still lives. For the last few years Samantha has called FRS home. She has been in the eye care industry since 2016 and loves that she works with a team that she can learn from and that pushes her to make new and challenging opportunities. She finds coming to work so enjoyable working alongside Dr. Venzara and the rest of the FRS staff. She loves spending her free time with her husband and their daughter. And enjoys spending time outdoors, being with friends & family, and attending The Grove Church.
Kaidy Harris
Ophthalmic Technician
Originally from Jefferson City, Missouri, Kaidy moved to Florida in May 2015. Watching the rocket launches hold a special place in her heart because the first time she saw one was when her grandparents brought her and a couple of her cousins here on vacation to watch the shuttle Columbia launch in June 1991. This is one of the most rewarding jobs she says she has ever worked because she is part of a team of great people, who are helping others by making a difference in their sight.
Shelly Crisafulli
Assistant Administrator
Shelly brought her impressive work-ethic and passion for serving patients in the medical field. She has excellent customer service skills and great attention to detail. Shelly is a Florida native born to a large Italian family who immigrated to Merritt Island over 100 years ago. She likes spending time outdoors boating and fishing, and especially spending quality time with her daughter, fiancé, and family.
Ashley Owen
Billing Associate
Ashley is from Wallingford, Connecticut and relocated to Florida several years ago. She served as an LPN over the last 13 years in various healthcare specialties. In her free time, she enjoys fishing and spending time outdoors with her husband and two children. Ashley takes pride in her position at the front desk because she is the first impression when new patients arrive to our office. She likes to make it a pleasant and enjoyable experience for the patient and their family members.
Juliet Venzara
Director of Business Development
Juliet served as practice administrator for Florida retina specialists from its Inception in 2014 and has recently transitioned into this new role. She is a graduate of Merritt Island High School and University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish. Her previous experience was with nephrology, as South Florida Regional director for the National Kidney Foundation. She and Dr. Venzara have been married for almost 2 decades and have four beautiful children. In her free time she likes working out at the gym, Bible study, dancing, fishing, boating and doing a variety of water sports.
Donna Thomson
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
Donna, our purveyor of all things Greek, has extensive ophthalmic knowledge, not only working in the field for 25 years but has also obtained the rank of certified ophthalmic technician. Donna is a Space Coast local, born and raised in Merritt Island and has strong connections with the local Greek community. Donna has never met a stranger and is the embodiment of the FRS motto: we treat you like family. Opa!
Dana Simon
Ophthalmic Technician
Raised right here in Brevard county, Dana has lived here 22 years. In her free time she loves spending time with her fiancé and two children at the beach or parks. She enjoys working in the medical field because she loves helping people and caring for those in need. She loves working in ophthalmology and finds the uniqueness of people’s eyes to be absolutely fascinating.
Christina Morley
Ophthalmic Technician
Christina is a Merritt Island local, who has 3 years experience as a state-certified pharmacy technician. She is a graduate of Merritt Island High School and is pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Applied Sciences at Eastern Florida State College. Chrissy loves connecting with patients, ensuring that they have a positive experience. as well as helping her whole healthcare team on a daily basis. In her free time she loves spending quality time with her family.
